Brenda Rogers, PHR, has served in many leadership positions, heading up the human resources
function in biotech, high tech (hardware and software), and non-profit academic
organizations. Brenda also has key clients in bio-pharmaceutical, hospitality and retail.
She brings a wealth of human resources and operations management experience from small
start-ups to large global organizations in the
US, EMEA and Asia-Pac. She has successfully led strategic planning,
change management, and leadership development. Brenda served most recently as the Vice President,
Human Resources in Perlegen Sciences, a genomics pioneer spin-off from Affymetrix. Prior to that she was the VPHR at a global non-profit pharmaceutical company, expanding clinical operations into India and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundtaion.
Companies including Perlegen Sciences, OneWorld Health, SJSU Research Foundation, Oracle (prev. Portal Software) and Seagate Technology have benefited from Brenda's
expertise and responsibility for all aspects of human resource functions; specifically in organization
development and process improvement. Brenda received Professional Human Resources certification
through the Society for Human Resources Management. She is certified in Zenger-Miller/Achieve
Global. She completed University of Michigan's HR Executive Program and holds a Bachelor's degree
in Communications from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Brenda also volunteers her time at the San Francisco SPCA, the Cinequest Film Festival,
Villa Montalvo for the Arts, and serves on a the board of a private university's College of Business.
